Our speed increasers MB, MBA and MBF are used for connecting our pumps to the low speed tractor power take-off. These have a low speed (540 or 1000 rpm) compared to a pump which is more efficient at a higher revolution. So, the gearbox function is to increase the speed to run the pump at the manufacturer recommended speed in order to get the best overall efficiency of the assembly.
